Who We Are

Briggs Pro is a voice-first AI construction estimating assistant built for contractors, builders, and tradespeople. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.

By creating an account or using B.O.B., you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of information when you use B.O.B.:

• Account Information — Email address and password used to create your account.
• Business Profile — Company name, phone number, physical address, website, trade specialty, hourly labor rate, and logo.
• Voice Recordings — Audio captured when you use voice commands, field note dictation, or site walkthroughs. Audio is processed by OpenAI Whisper for transcription and is not retained by us beyond the transcription session.
• Client Data You Enter — Client names, email addresses, phone numbers, and project addresses you input when creating estimates or punch list items.
• Project & Estimate Data — Labor tasks, material lists, pricing, cover letters, and signed documents you create inside the app.
• Usage Preferences — Inferred preferences such as trade specialty, communication style, pricing patterns, and humor level, derived from your interactions with Briggs Pro to personalize your experience. You may delete these at any time in Briggs' Brain settings.
• Device & Location Signals — IP address (collected for e-signature audit trail purposes only), device type, and operating system.
• Receipt Images — Photos of receipts you upload for expense tracking. These are stored in your private Supabase storage bucket.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to operate and improve B.O.B. Specifically:

• To generate estimates, invoices, and project documents on your behalf
• To transcribe voice commands and field notes into text
• To personalize B.O.B.'s responses based on your trade and pricing preferences
• To send estimate PDFs and e-signature requests to your clients via email
• To provide an audit trail for digitally signed documents (IP address, timestamp, signature type)
• To store and organize your projects, punch lists, and field notes
• To improve the accuracy of AI-generated estimates over time

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your data with any third party except as described in Section 04.

Behavioral Profiling

B.O.B. automatically learns from your usage to become a better assistant. This includes inferring:

• Your preferred communication style based on how you phrase requests
• Your standard pricing anchors based on estimates you create or modify
• Your trade specialty based on the terminology you use
• Your regional context based on project addresses you enter

This profiling is used solely to personalize your Briggs Pro experience. You can view all stored preferences in Briggs' Brain → Memory and delete individual entries at any time. You may also request complete deletion of your profile (see Section 07).

Third-Party Service Providers

B.O.B. uses the following third-party processors to deliver its features. Each is bound by their own privacy and security policies:

We do not authorize any of these providers to use your data for their own commercial purposes.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in Supabase, which provides encrypted storage at rest and in transit. Access to your data is protected by row-level security policies — meaning only you can read and write your own records.

PDF documents including signed contracts are stored on our Railway-hosted server. Signed contracts include an audit trail consisting of the signer's name, IP address, timestamp, and signature method.

We implement industry-standard security measures but cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach occurs that affects your data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

Your Clients' Data

When you use B.O.B. to send estimates to your clients, you are acting as the data controller for your clients' information. You are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate basis to share your clients' contact information with B.O.B. and that your clients' data is handled in accordance with applicable law.

Client contact data is stored in your private account and is never shared with other B.O.B. users or used for any purpose other than delivering the documents you request.

Your Rights & Data Deletion

You have the following rights regarding your data:

To delete your account and all associated data: Send an email to support@briggs.technology with the subject line "Delete My Account." We will permanently delete all records associated with your user ID within 30 days. This includes your profile, estimates, projects, memories, field notes, and stored files.

California residents have additional rights under CCPA/CPRA. Illinois, Texas, and Washington residents have additional rights under state biometric privacy laws. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address above.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you have not logged in for 24 consecutive months, we may delete inactive account data after providing 30 days' notice to your registered email address.

Voice recordings are deleted from our servers immediately after transcription is complete. Transcribed text is retained as part of your field notes or command history until you delete it.

Signed contract PDFs are retained for a minimum of 7 years to comply with standard commercial record-keeping requirements.

Children's Privacy

Briggs Pro is a professional tool intended for contractors and business operators aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will delete it promptly.

Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide notice through the app or via email. Continued use of B.O.B. after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
